Statement
Provider rankings are determined solely by the criteria published in the Intelligence Methodology. No provider can pay to be included in the index, to be ranked higher, or to be featured in editorial content. Referral commissions, where they exist, are disclosed on the provider's profile and in the Referral Disclosure.
Practical rules
- The editorial team and the commercial function operate under a firm separation: editorial decisions are not shared with commercial partners before publication and commercial arrangements are not shared with the intelligence team before scoring.
- Every score change of two or more points on any criterion is logged with the reason for the change.
- A provider that pays for onboarding to become an affiliate partner is scored using the same methodology as one that does not.
- A provider being removed from an affiliate programme does not change its ranking.
What providers cannot do
- Pay for inclusion, ranking, editorial coverage, or the removal of critical content.
- Review or approve articles about themselves before publication.
- Access underlying intelligence scores that are not published on the site.
What providers can do
Providers can submit factual corrections through the process set out in the Corrections Policy. Corrections are reviewed by the editor and, if the correction is substantiated, the article is amended, dated and — where the change is material — a corrections note is appended.
